Texaco Overseas Tankship Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of Texaco Inc., has purchased the 79,997- dwt tanker Globtik Windsor from Globtik Tankers London Limited. The ship, which has been renamed Texaco Windsor, was handed over in Singapore recently.

A new oceanographic research vessel has been designed and is to be built for the prestigious Scripps Institution of Oceanography of La Jolla, Calif. The 170-foot, twin-screw vessel is to be built to replace other existing research vessels in the
